These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Aamplify LLC (DBA Officially Acquainted) ("we," "us," "the app"), a Tennessee limited liability company. They cover the Officially Acquainted mobile app, officiallyacquainted.com, and everything we sell through either. By using the app or buying anything from us, you agree to these Terms. If you get the app through Apple's App Store or Google Play, their standard terms also apply to that purchase.
Officially Acquainted gives you conversation cards: daily prompts to send to people in your life, prompts for group chats, and Party Packs for live, in-person play. The free version includes daily cards, sending, writing your own cards, and a limited taste of Party Packs. Premium features are part of a paid tier called OA+.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission for any purchase.
The Founding Lifetime purchase is a one-time payment that unlocks every OA+ feature, including features we add later, for the supported life of the Officially Acquainted app. It is not a subscription and never renews or rebills. "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the product: for as long as we operate Officially Acquainted, founders keep full OA+ access at no additional cost. The Founding Lifetime price is locked at purchase and is never affected by later OA+ price changes. It is tied to your account or device and is not transferable or resellable.
Founders may optionally submit a short bio and link for the founders page on our website. Submissions are published at our reasonable discretion (we won't publish anything unlawful, hateful, or spammy) and can be removed at your request anytime.
We may sell certain purchases (such as the Founding Lifetime) directly on officiallyacquainted.com. Website purchases are delivered as an unlock code or account entitlement by email, normally within minutes. Website purchases are made through our payment processor and are governed by these Terms rather than an app store's terms. If a website purchase doesn't work as described, contact us and we will fix it or refund it: website purchases can be refunded within 14 days of purchase if the unlock hasn't been meaningfully used. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play follow that store's refund policies instead.
Unlock codes are one-time use, tied to the first account or device that redeems them, and may not be sold or transferred. We may deactivate codes that were obtained fraudulently, resold, or generated in error, and will make it right with the original legitimate purchaser.
We may donate a portion of proceeds from OA+ purchases to nonprofit organizations, including mental health causes. When we advertise a specific donation, the percentage and recipient will be stated where advertised. Purchases are not tax-deductible donations by you.
Cards you write belong to you. By submitting a card suggestion or a founders bio, you give us a non-exclusive license to use it in the app or on the site, with the right to edit for length and formatting. We never publish your personal sends; what you text people stays between you and them.
Don't use the app to harass, threaten, or spam anyone; don't try to break, copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the app; don't use it for anything unlawful. We can suspend access for abuse of the app or of other people.
The app is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it running well, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. Conversation prompts are for connection and entertainment; they are not therapy, counseling, or professional advice.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Aamplify LLC's total liability for any claim related to the app or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date, and continued use of the app after a change means you accept it. If you don't agree with a change, stop using the app and, if you have an active subscription, cancel it in your store settings.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee, unless applicable law gives you the right to a different venue.
